Certain prescription medications may have criteria that must be met before it is covered by Cigna. For these medications, we will need more information from your doctor.

New Cigna customers may be taking medications that have certain restrictions, such as requiring prior authorization. Cigna may provide coverage for a short-term supply of a medication without the need for prior authorization. To learn more, please use the link below.

The Over-the-Counter Catalog is an additional benefit offered to Cigna Members. Cigna Members are given $30 each quarter to purchase items in the catalog. Please note that this benefit is not available to nursing facility Members.

For customers who need long-acting reversible contraceptives, Cigna covers certain medications. A prescription from your doctor will need to be sent to a specialty pharmacy. You will then receive the medication from the pharmacy, which you will then bring to your doctor’s office so they may implant it.
